Andy Reiss

Andy Reiss is Chief Financial Officer at Cloudax. His career sits at an unusual intersection: decades spent understanding markets from the inside of a global investment house, time advising the UK government on enterprise policy, and years picking apart businesses as a professional investor. He read Zoology at the University of Oxford, earning both a B.A. and M.A., and was active in the Oxford Union.

What began as a scientist's instinct for evidence and first principles carried over into how he would later read markets, companies, and policy. Andy spent 14 years at AllianceBernstein in New York as Senior Vice President and Director of Research, examining the long-horizon shifts that would define the decades ahead: cloud computing, genomics, electric vehicles, and the broader reshaping of how value is created. It was deep, cross-sector, institutional research at the highest level, the kind that informs how some of the world's largest investors actually allocate capital.

He then stepped away from Wall Street and into Westminster, serving as Deputy Director and Policy Adviser at the Cabinet Office, where he advised No 10 and HM Treasury on enterprise policy including access to finance. He brought the same long-term thinking to government that he had applied to markets, helping shape the environment in which British businesses grow. From there he joined Fingleton Associates as a Director, advising clients on competition and regulatory issues, before returning to investment as Partner and Research Analyst at Trinetra Investment Management LLP, where he spent over eight years analysing market trends and investment opportunities.

At Cloudax, Andy brings that full-spectrum lens (markets, policy, technology, and long-term strategic direction) to the finance function of an AI company scaling into enterprise telecoms.
