Every one of them has moved meaningfully against operators in the last five years, and they compound on each other.

Each turn costs more and delivers less
The spiral doesn't end in collapse. It ends in quiet capitulation: longer queues, shorter calls, deferred callbacks, narrower hours. Customers feel it before anyone writes it down.
Volume rises. Service levels slip. Managers authorise hiring. Hiring takes longer than it used to. The first cohort is productive at 60% after three months, half gone by month six. The remaining team is stretched, tenure drops, attrition gets worse, and the next hiring cycle has to be larger, to cover both growthandchurn.
